ABOUT ME

I was born December 13th, 1984 to Michael and Kathye Miller in Plankinton, SD.  I grew up on a farm about five miles south of Plankinton and attended Plankinton High School until the end of my freshman year.

During the summer between my freshman and sophomore years, I decided to switch to Mitchell Christian High School.  I love going to high school here and I have made friends for a lifetime.

In my spare time I like to be with my friends, go to movies and just have fun!  I have played high school basketball for the last four years and that has kept me very busy.  I also keep stats for the boys basketball team for the last tow years, which is very fun.  I keep very active in school activities from basketball to Dinner Theaters, so there is never a dull moment.  My most memorable moments of high school would have to be going to boys State B's my junior year, going out on Thursdays with "the guys", and Kat for lunch, this years basketball season and just having fun with my friends.

In the fall of 2003, in plan on attending SDSU to receive my major in Spanish and a minor in Business and Aviation.  My friends say me flying a plane is kind of scary!!!  Ha ha but oh well!  With my Spanish I feel God wanting me to do missionary work in Latin America ( so we will see how that goes) and then maybe come back into the States and teach or something.

To me my family is very important and they have always been there supporting me, which I am very grateful for.  I have wonderful friends who are there also sharing in the memories of high school and of my life!

My Life Story

I was born Kathrine Renee to Kim and Brenda Moline on August 25, 1984 in Chamberlin, SD because Pukwana doesn't have a hospital, not even a stoplight, at least I don't think so.  We moved to Mitchell When I was 3 and have lived here ever since.  I have two younger sisters, a cat and a dog.

I started attending Mitchell Christian School as a Preschooler and have attended MCS for fourteen years.

In my spare time, between my job and homework, I enjoy sleeping, babysitting, reading, watching movies and hanging out with friends.

I keep busy during the school year by playing basketball, for the past eight years, running track, and playing volleyball, as well as keeping stats for the boys' basketball team.  When I am not involved in sports I am busy with the annual Dinner Theater along with the other activities that come up along the way.  I am also an active member of my youth group, which keeps me busy as well.

Over the past few years I have had many memorable experiences in sports as well as school, some good and some not so good.  In the past basketball was a "character" building sport for us girls.  Only winning two games in three years made it not very fun at times, but we survived.  The most memorable moment from those years was when we won two games, won a tournament, and broke the losing streak all in the same day.  This year has been awesome for me because I have experienced what it was like to be on a winning team, as well as having new team members, and new coaches.  Although this year has been awesome and rewarding, I also am thankful for those years of not winning because of what it taught me: there will be some tough times, but if you stick it out, it will get better.  And it got better.  Thanks Coach for making this a great season.  (tear, tear, sniffle)

My family has been involved with missions since 1994, and in March of 2002 I was blessed with the opportunity to go to Russia with my dad.  That was a life changing experience for me that I will never forget.  My senior class will be going to Jamaica for our class trip at the end of March.  I am looking forward to this trip to see how the Lord will use our class to further his kingdom.  this will be a great growing experience for myself as well as a class, and a highlight in our year.

In the fall of 2003 I intend to go to college, although I am not sure where yet, and getting a double major in elementary Education and Special Education.

I have had a great four years of high school, had many memorable moments and will never forget what I have been taught as well as learned during that time.  I am sad about graduation, but am also excited to see what the Lord has planned for me down the road.
