What a way to open up the season. We came out ready to play, beating Wolsey/Wessington 73-52. Starting off the year for Mitchell Christian Jill Young lead the way with 37 points, followed by Jamie Young with 14, Tiffany Tolsma with 11 and Krista Hegge with 7. Krista was the leading rebounder with 8 followed closely by Jill with 7 and Tiffany with 6. Jill also contirbuted 6 assist and 4 steals. Also for Mitchell Christian Shawn Peterson had 4 points and 2 assists.

During the second game of the season Mitchell Christian came out ready to play. Paced by Jill Young with 23 points, 8 assists 11 steals, the Eagles defeated SBA 68-21. Also for the Eagles Jamie Young had 19 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Krista Hegge accomplished her first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, plus 2 steals and 1 block.. Shawn Peterson came out and scored 4 points and had 4 rebounds.
